This week Educo is teaming up with No Barriers Youth to offer a transformative week of adventure camp focusing on leadership, transcending the comfort zone, creating strong community at camp and persevering through challenges.
Any student can learn in the classroom, but experiential learning is what makes education truly meaningful for kids. Through hands-on investigation and travel, students see how concepts from class play out in the real world and gain a deeper understanding of their role in a global community.
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild and precious life?” Originally posed by Mary Oliver in her poem “The Summer Day,” this same question is asked of 14 high school students in the heart of the Peruvian Amazon. They have ventured here to examine the issue of climate change in the rainforest, while also digging deeper into themselves.
